We met in the super romantic setting of Ms. Giraldo's first grade class. Daniella had fully embraced the 90's crimped hair look and Matthew was too cool for school in his oversized shirts and tall socks. Throughout the next 12 years, we overlapped in classes and friend groups but were probably both too shy to make a move... but time had something else in store for us. So when we reconnected a few years ago, Daniella tried to play it cool (always a mistake) with telling Matthew he looked familiar. Matthew immediately called Daniella on it and it was clear we both remembered each other fondly. It's been a wonderful few years and feels like we have known each other forever -- which is a little bit accurate. We are looking forward to the shared adventures to come!
