History of the location: The wedding venue is owned by George Mahoney and his family. Saranac Lake was an elite escape for those vacationing in the late 1800's and Saranac Inn was positioned in perfect view of the lake. As time progressed, the inn grew larger and more popular. After the Great Depression, the inn changed hands several times, was divided and sold off to different owners, and eventually was sold piece by piece in 1962. On June 17, 1978, the hotel caught fire and burned what was left. During this fire, a piece fluttered over to the roof of the Mahoney home, which was located next to the INN at the time, and destroyed the second level. After the 7 hour fire battle, George's father looked for reimbursement from the INN. Unable to offer any, the Mahoney family received the inn property. They decided to pick up and move their house to be positioned where the INN used to reside and now Charissa and Matthew will be tying the knot at this historic location.

The Wedding ceremony will be held at: 84 Saranac Inn Lane, Saranac Inn NY 12983 at Four thirty in the afternoon, outside, on the private property of the Mahoney residence. Please make sure to bring proper attire in case of weather changes such as sunglasses, a light sweater and your smiles.

Cocktail Party

5:30 pm

Upper Lawn at Mahoney Residence

Immediately following the ceremony, please enjoy light appetizers and cocktails on the upper lawn as the wedding party takes pictures and greets everyone.

Reception Meal Selection

7:00 pm

Main Tent at Mahoney Residence

After cocktails and appetizers, please make your way to the main tent where you will find your table and enjoy a delicious dinner. Steuben St Market and Pearl Street Pub Chefs will be preparing all of the events' courses. They have worked closely with the Bride and Groom to deliver a menu they know you will love.
