Some love stories start with a chance meeting, others with a perfectly timed swipe. Ours began the old-fashioned way — with a friend who knew something we didn’t yet: that our paths were meant to cross. One introduction turned into a conversation, and before long we realized we were building something much bigger than either of us had planned. Not long after we met, life threw us a major curveball when Cassie was diagnosed with breast cancer…again. Instead of pulling us apart, it only made one thing clearer: we wanted to face whatever came our way together. Through surgeries, treatments, and recovery, Matthew showed every day that love is something you do, not just something you say. As if that chapter wasn’t enough adventure, the universe later added another unexpected twist — a house fire that turned our world upside down overnight. But through it all, we were reminded that home isn’t a place — it’s the life we’re building together. Some of our favorite moments have been spent outdoors — hiking mountain trails, camping under Colorado skies, and dreaming about the future around a campfire. Our story may not be perfect, but it’s full of laughter, resilience, and the belief that the best views are worth the climb.
