The McKinney Farmers Market is held weekly on Saturdays from April-December (8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) There are a wide variety of vendors offering local grass-fed beef and free-range chickens, eggs, and farm fresh produce. Shoppers will also find specialty items such as tamales, pastries, teas, ginger beer, jerky and so much more. McKinney's Farmers Market also offers a wide selection of arts and crafts vendors who have locally made goat milk soap, walking sticks, jewelry, candles, and more!
This nature preserve is made up of a variety of habitats and miles of nature trails. The Heard museum features bird blinds, an Animals of the World Exhibit, a pioneer village, butterfly gardens and Zip lining! For any dinosaur lovers- encounter their 46-foot T-Rex and nine new life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the nature trails during the annual Dinosaurs Live exhibit that visits the Heard every fall into winter.
