March of 2024 I proposed to Brooqlenn on a trip to Italy. I was so anxious about taking the ring through customs worrying that I would lose it or be subject to a search that would ruin my plans, none of that happened. Arriving in Venice was amazing and not what we were expecting as we went on a thrilling and immersive shuttle ride which was probably riddled with Italian swear words. Finally we were at the hotel and I just had to go with the itinerary that I had made until Easter Monday where I had scheduled a photography session throughout Venice. Unfortunately, Venice went through heavy rain through the time that we were there and I ended up having to reschedule the proposal to accommodate for the rain. The next morning came and the weather was perfect so we got ready and met our photographer and she allowed me to put our bag (with the ring) in her bag so we could take pictures. I wanted to propose on the Grand Canal so the photographer made a route that took us through a section of Venice making our way to St. Mark's Square which was flooded the day before. To our surprise the square wasn’t flooded and was almost vacant making it the perfect place to take pictures. We then worked our way over to the Rialto Bridge where the photographer set up for me to propose. She set down her bag and took Brooq around the corner to take pictures of her while I grabbed the ring. With the ring in hand behind my back we took some pictures and then I bent down and asked Brooqlenn to Marry me. Immediately she screamed, grabbed the ring, and put it on herself so I scolded her saying “Hey that's my job” so I took the ring off her and put it back on myself. After I proposed we took a few pictures and then right next to where I proposed I had another surprise for her and had set up a gondola ride through Venice.
