We're Getting Married!

Matthew and I first met in high school. Our very first date was at the batting cages — fitting, since baseball was always such a big part of his life. Not long after, I moved to a different town and switched schools, and we eventually lost touch. Fast forward a few years to my junior year and his sophomore year. I had COVID and posted about being sick on social media, while at the same time Matthew was recovering from Tommy John surgery. Somehow, bonding over being sick and injured brought us back together. I remember thinking it was so sweet that he kept checking in on me and asking how I was doing. Not long after reconnecting, Matthew officially asked me to be his girlfriend on 02/22/2022 — and yes, he absolutely picked the date because of all the twos. We’ve been together ever since, and along the way we’ve added two very important members to our little family: our dogs, Cooper Riggs and Josie. We can’t wait to start this next chapter together!
