For Brook and Matt, it all started in 2018 at Binghamton University. Matt transferred in sophomore year, got introduced to Brook through her roommate, and something just clicked. What started as a friendship quickly grew into something more — two people who brought out the best in each other, laughed easily, talked for hours, and just fit. A Life Built Together Over the past seven-plus years, Brook and Matt have built a life full of adventure, growth, and real support for each other. They've spent those years exploring new places, trying new things, and making memories along the way — and every experience has been better because they shared it together. Along the way, Brook completed Physician Assistant (PA) school with Matt by her side and supporting her throughout the entire process! After she finished, they took the next step together — a new home, a new state, a new adventure. They've been in North Carolina for over a year now and couldn't be happier. The Proposal On a golden November evening in 2024, Matt brought Brook to the top of the Fire Island Lighthouse — a place woven into the fabric of their story, full of memories and meaning. As the sun dipped below the horizon and the last light of the day painted the sky, he got down on one knee and asked Brook to be his forever. What she didn't know was that waiting at the bottom were both of their families, banner in hand, ready to celebrate the moment they'd all been hoping for. Fire Island has always held a special place in their hearts. Now it holds the most special moment of all. What's Next Brook and Matt are engaged, in love, and ready for everything that comes next.
