We met through mutual friends (Hannah K. will be standing by Bailey's side as she says 'I do'). Matt texted Bailey and said "we should probably go out to dinner", of course Bailey agreed and they went to dinner at the Steam Plant in Spokane that night. Bailey was SO nervous she doesn't remember much of the night, nor did she talk a lot (surprise), but she was willing to try calamari for the first time and LOVED it! The rest is history.
We weren't going to do Christmas gifts this year, just stocking stuffers (as we had just been on vacation in Maui). We were going to open our stockings Christmas Eve before driving to Everett to visit our families, but I was nervous we wouldn't have time in the morning so decided we should open them the night of December 23rd. Bailey was in her pajamas, and Matt made breakfast for dinner (eggs, hash browns, bacon). After dinner, Matt opened his stocking first. Then it was Bailey's turn... she opened her stocking and then Matt went and pulled out a HUGE silver gift bag (Bailey was SO MAD... NO GIFTS THIS YEAR). Well under a whole lot of wrapping and tissue paper, Bailey found a ornament that read 'Mr and Mrs'. That's when Matt got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife (our fur babies were there too, of course)... and she said YES!!! Well that's up for debate, Bailey swears she said yes immediately, but Matt insists she didn't respond. See you in Kauai on February 11, 2018 for the next chapter of our story!
