Matt and Arielle's love story is a tale as old as COVID time. Boy meets girl (on app), girl swipes right, they (eventually) meet in real life, they date, fall in love, yada yada yada, and the next thing you know, they find themselves writing their love story on a wedding website. Like any typical New York City love story, Matt and Arielle lived across the street from each other for 2 years, but never even knew it. It wasn't until October 2021, when their paths first crossed on Bumble. But like any relationship that starts off on a dating app, they didn't actually meet in person until January 2022. They instantly bonded over a glass (or 2) of mulled wine, and a shared passion for skiing, traveling, and dad jokes. What followed could only be described as a modern romance whirlwind. After sharing more than just affection during a coincidental COVID quarantine together that Spring, the relationship deepened. By Fall, they made the decision to move in together, and on July 20th 2023, Matt proposed, committed to a future of making Arielle and Charlie endlessly happy. Matt's proposal was one for the books. He crafted not only a memorable proposal evening, but an entire weekend of celebration with beloved family and friends. Arielle, who had simple wishes for her engagement - to not be in Aviator Nation matching sweats, and to wear mascara - thought she was attending a rooftop event where Matt would be speaking. Imagine her surprise when he dropped to one knee and proposed, and then both of their families popped out from hiding to join in their celebration. The weekend unfolded beautifully, with an itinerary (appealing to Arielle’s love of plans and attention) that included dinners, drinks, and even a surprise engagement party, making every moment of their engagement truly special. Now, a year later, Arielle and Matt are so excited to celebrate their wedding in Park City. Surrounded by their family, friends, and fresh mountain air, they are looking forward to a fun weekend with the people they love, great music, lots of dancing, and plenty of laughter.
