John Ball Zoo
We love visiting different zoos when we travel. Go to John Ball Zoo during the day to see all the animals OR go in the evening to experience the lantern festival! Buy tickets ahead of time, they sell out fast!
Millennium Park
This is one of our favorite places to take a walk with nearly 18 miles of trails nestled just outside of the busy downtown life.
Roots Brew Shop
This is our favorite little coffee shop! They have great bagels with unique cream cheese spread options. Matt gets the "Everything bagel with brown sugar & walnut cream cheese" and Alyssa's favorite is "Asiago bagel with the scrambled egg, bacon, and cheese cream cheese spread." On Saturdays, they also have some fun waffle options!
Founders Brewing Co
You can't travel to the Beer City without going to a brewery! Founder's Brewing Co. is a Grand Rapids staple. Visit their taproom or their beer garden.
Two Beards Deli
Literally the BEST sandwiches!
Bridge Street Neighborhood
Bridge Street is known for its vibrant nightlife, diverse restaurants, dive-bars, and cocktail lounges. Matt lived in this neighborhood for 3 years - Butcher's Union, New Holland Brewing, One Bourbon, Blue Dog Tavern, and Drip Drop are some of our favorites!
