Our Families were longtime acquaintances and Matt decided one day to message me on Instagram. Yes, he slid into my DM's and asked how my coaching and season was going. He actually asked me out to an Angels game, but I told him I might burn up at the stadium because I'm a Dodgers fan! I turned him down a few times but was trying to be polite once I realized how close our Families actually were. Next thing we knew, we were both at Dolphin Park on a Friday night, he was playing, and I was there to watch my mom play. He and our now friends were walking over laughing loud as ever to come say hi to everyone. And he walked right passed me to say hi to everyone else, stopped to give my mom a hug (which shocked me!) and had the longest talk with her. A few Dm's later I exchanged my number, he told me he was Hawaiian and Mexican (iykyk), sent me a few songs and then we started dating a few weeks later!

Matt was planning a "Birthday Party" and it just so happened that the Rams and Patriots were playing their play-off games. I was excited to have friends and family over to celebrate yet a few people unfortunately said no. Half time started and we were going to sing Happy Birthday, Matt started to say a little speech but was actually talking alot! The entire time I was thinking of the games and how we were missing it! Next thing I know I realized people were crying and recording?! He said he wanted a throwing partner for life and next thing I know he's down on one knee proposing!!
