Transportation is provided to the ceremony from the Fairmont and Beach view. This beautiful church, built on one of Barbados’ oldest consecrated lands, has a rich history. Originally constructed in 1628, it was rebuilt in stone after hurricanes in 1675 and 1780, with St. James being one of the few buildings to survive. In 1874, it was expanded and consecrated in 1875. Though it’s been updated, it still holds the same charm where we’ll be getting married. What makes it even more special is that my father, James Scott George, will be officiating the ceremony. We’re so excited to start this new chapter in such a meaningful place!
