FAQs

Question

What's the dresscode?

Answer

The dress code is formal! The bridesmaids and wedding party will have long dresses, the groomsmen and wedding party will have suits. Please no jeans, shorts, or t-shirts. A cocktail dress and a suit will do just fine! A sundress or a polo would be too casual, but a tuxedo and prom dross is too formal.

Question

Why does the wedding have a hashtag that says #fishweddingpart2

Answer

Allison and Matt made a video back in college where they held a wedding for their two betta fish. The video still lurks somewhere on the internet...

Question

Where are guests staying?

Answer

We have a hotel block at the Hampton Inn Suites and Aloft Hotel in Newport KY, close to the aquarium with an available shuttle service. Check out the travel tab for more info.

Question

Is there assigned seating?

Answer

Yes! There is. If you have questions or concerns about who will be at your table, please contact someone in the bridal party.

Question

Do I have to RSVP?

Answer

Yes.....if you want to have a place to sit and a free meal.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Please refrain from bringing any extra guests. If you have questions about whether you have a plus one, refer to your invitation or contact any member of the bridal party. There are limited seats at the wedding, so everyone must be accounted for!

Question

How early can we get to the reception?

Answer

You can get to the Newport Aquarium at 6:30. If you buy a day ticket, you can spend some time, as a guest, in the aquarium before 6:30. However, the aquarium closes at 6pm and you will be asked to return to Newport on the Levee while they clean and turn the aquarium in time for the reception.

Question

What is there to do in Cincinnati?

Answer

Plenty! There are tons of local bars, restaurants and free attractions. Check out the "Things to Do" tab for more information.

Question

How early can we get to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 2pm. You can get there as soon as 1:30pm.
