Besides surviving Aerospace at A&M, Stan and Alexx lived together for three years (4 if you count the adjoining apartments that first year out lol) after college. Waiting patiently for Matthew to finish grad school in College Station, Stan was there to help open jars, explore restaurants, and put up with Alexx’s emotional tantrums. Hunter Schmidt
Best Man
Matthew and Hunter were friends in Junior High, but their friendship really hit its stride junior year of high school with the greatest Rube Goldberg machine of all time. They, along with a great group of friends, have had countless adventures, from mysterious furniture relocations in Waller to climbing castles in Austria. Hunter is finally back in the States after playing American football in Austria and there are plenty of new adventures on the horizon for both of them.
Mitchell Harger

Alexx met Mitch during boot camp at NASA. She instantly took Stan’s word that Mitch was cool, however, she still has yet to see any evidence of it. When Mitch met Matthew, they very quickly vibed over football and making Alexx’s life hell. Mitch lived with Alexx for over three years and with Alexx and Matthew during the Pandemic. It was a wonderful and weird time. Mitch’s charisma made him the first choice when considering who would marry them. Mitch also introduced Alexx and Matthew to his sister, Maddie. Who they love more than Mitch…but Mitch knows this, and agrees. Mitch has witnessed Alexx embarrass herself many, many times and has lots fun stories he is always ready to tell everyone…Let’s see if he brings any up on the big day!
Tyler Block

Ty-Ty. Being friends with Tyler was easy. He lived in the same apartment complex as Alexx and played the same video games. His expertise in coding got Alexx through many an engineering course and he always tried to stay patient when explaining things to her…key word: tried. He too abandoned the group and fled to Florida after graduation. But he is always one of the first people ready and willing to meet up and catch up. He was always singing and was pretty chill all through college. Alexx is not chill. Tyler’s influence was appreciated. Lol.
Kolby Buchanan
Groomsman
Brawww! Kolby was one of Matthew's best friends since 6th grade. There are too many fond memories to share from their long friendship: selling candy bars for Beta Club, 6 years of percussion in the school band, marching band camps, and finally attending A&M together. Kolby has always been one of those friends where no matter how long it has been between seeing each other, they still click right back as if no time had passed at all.
Keenan Busse

Keenan and Alexx met at NASA several years ago and eventually spent the pandemic as roommates. Keenan and Alexx bonded over their weirdly similar taste in British TV, puzzles, board games, and movies (especially Wes Anderson). Keenan's love of travel helps inspire Matthew and Alexx to visit new and wonderful places! Plus Keenan is always game for weird costumes, board game nights, and just chilling. We love Keenan.
Rob Clever

Robby Bobby. This guy was one of Alexx’s first friends at A&M. Though she technically met Matthew before any of the guys, she formed a tight friendship with Rob before anyone else. They bonded over both being Italian and both clashed at times because they were both emotional and stubborn. This just endeared Rob to Alexx even more. He was always there for the deep talks and when Alexx needed a shoulder to cry on. He helped build her confidence and was such a solid friend, she will always treasure how much he helped her out of some sad and dark times. Rob and his amazing wife, Sam, are regarded very fondly in the Holub/Cisotto household. 🖤
Doug Coppock

Douglas walked up to Alexx in the Aero Lab and said, ‘I hear a rumour you have a killer study guide for this Materials exam.’ She did not have a study guide; he had confused her with one of the other eight girls in Aero. But the rest was history. Doug’s poor influence led to many late nights playing League of Legends for which Alexx is still scarred. Doug was always up for board game nights, volleyball, and pizza…oh and don’t forget Jin’s. Doug’s wife, Kaley, gets her own box, so go check that out. Stan and Alexx helped get Doug a job at NASA, and no matter what Stan claims, Alexx was responsible for at least 16% of Doug landing his current role. It’s always fun seeing Doug around Mission Control.
Kaley Coppock

One day in college we all asked where Doug was as he wasn’t there for a game night. The response was, ‘He’s with some girl at a Taylor Swift concert.’ Well that girl turned out to be Kaley and eventually his wife. Alexx and Kaley immediately connected and years of friendship later they still manage to make each other smile, laugh, and cry. Kaley is always up for the next adventure and always ready to join Alexx on a weekend travel to wherever . Sushi is almost always involved. We forgive the fact that Kaley hates board games…sort of. But we keep her around anyways.
Daniel Green
Groomsman
Matthew and Daniel attended grad school together where they endured torturous hours of study and learning. They both worked in the VR lab with Dr. Greg Chamitoff (former astronaut), and helped each other keep their sanity throughout grad school by playing soccer, going out for drinks, and dinner nights to watch the new Game of Thrones episode (still disappointed in the last season).
Aaron Greer

A-A-ron. This man and his awesome wife, Katie, abandoned us all for Colorado and we still haven’t forgiven him. But now we have an excuse to go to Colorado more often, so…Aaron has always been a silently steadfast, supportive, and constant friend since the early college days. Aaron always encouraged Alexx to try new and exciting things and adventures: see forcing her to go to the gym with he and Matthew all the time in college, teaching her racquetball (only once or twice cause she was truly terrible), and always bringing Alexx and Matthew along on hikes when we were in the neighborhood!!
Ryan Holub

Ryan and Matthew are cousins who grew up very close. Grandma's house during the summers was always a great time, and they, along with the other cousins, always had some new game or activity that used way more imagination than could be mustered now. Being the two youngest (and apparently looking identical), Grandma always had a way of mixing them up. Family is important to the Holub’s, and neither Ryan or Matthew would be the same person without the good times and life lessons learned throughout their childhoods.
Shane Mays

Shane and Matthew have been friends since starting percussion in the 6th grade. Not many friend groups are as cohesive as the group that Shane and Matthew were a part of, most of which related to the countless hours of band rehearsals, field trips, competitions, football games, etc. The bus rides to these events always consisted of rapping the latest Drake/Lil Wayne/Kanye songs like we were hot stuff. Thinking back on it, Shane is probably the biggest influencer of Matthew's music tastes outside of his family's love of country music. Shane has always helped to keep Matthew connected with his high school group of friends, and Matthew expects to share many more memories with them in the years to come.
Kai Morikawa

Dr. Morikawa was not only friends with Alexx and Matthew during their undergrad days, but remained roommates with Matthew into Grad School. Kai was also responsible for very late nights playing League of Legends and was ridiculously good at it. Always up for a board game or some sushi, Kai is an amazing friend. He was always there when it mattered and Alexx will always treasure the comfort he offered, even with his calm silence. Kai is always up for meeting everyone at wherever our next destination is. Alas, Kai has fled us here in Texas to live and work in Arizona. We forgive him though.
Ian Nord

Ian was the smart guy in Aero…and that’s saying something. He was always ready to help explain a homework problem and was always very calm and collected…until you sat next to him at any sporting event, most especially Aggie football games (I don’t know how you do it Zoe), or played Risk with him (ask Doug). Ian has always been so easy to talk to and seeing him when we get to visit Dallas is always so amazing cause it feels like no time has passed and the conversation is so easy. Ian is a wonderful friend and a genuinely good guy. Whether it’s the Macarena or Shania, you’ll find Ian on the dance floor at this wedding!
