Aiko and Matthew met in College in 2010. Matthew says he doesn't remember as well as Aiko does. Matthew remembers playing beer pong and Aiko remembers Matthew being shirtless. Although it was not love at first sight this was the beginning of a relationship filled with love, laughter and happiness.… First Date- 12/12/2017 Matthew and Aiko’s first date was in Salt Lake City, UT downtown at a bar called “White Horse”, in December of 2017 and from this moment on their lives would forever be intertwined. Matthew asked Aiko to be his girlfriend the following year and after two years of doing long distance Aiko moved into Matthew’s 600 sqft apartment in Long Beach, CA in August of 2020. Matthew proposed 12/13/21 on a Gondola ride through the long beach canals with a simple message trapped in a bottle floating on the water.. “ Will you Marry me ?” Throughout their relationship Aiko and Matthew have adventured to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world including the Philippines and the Maldives and they look forward to beginning the next chapter of their lives in the company of their loved ones on the sands of Costa Rica.
