The ceremony will be at Saint Paul's Cathedral in Pittsburgh. Following the ceremony, the reception will be located at The Edgeworth Club in Sewickley.
The dress code is black-tie optional. This means that you should wear the nicest clothing you have easy access to. If you don't already have a tuxedo or a floor-length gown, a nice cocktail dress or a suit is perfectly acceptable. We kindly ask that no one wears jeans or shorts.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm. Please plan to arrive around 3:40pm to ensure you are there in time to park and grab a seat before the ceremony begins! There is street parking around the Cathedral along with a few parking garages in the area.
The Cathedral has a lot along N. Dithridge Street on the side of the Cathedral. Anyone is free to park in any available space there. There are around 38-40 available spots, with some handicapped spaces, as well. Along with the lot parking, you are able to use street parking. Oakland Catholic, along N. Craig, usually has their lot available to the Cathedral during weekend masses. If the gate is open, people may park there, as well. If none of these options work, there are a few garages in the area. One on N. Dithridge (in between Fifth and Forbes) and Soldiers and Sailors.
If you are staying at the Sheraton in Station Square, then yes. If you have made arrangements to stay elsewhere then you will need to find your own transportation to the reception venue. If you are driving yourself, there will be a complimentary valet service at The Edgeworth Club.
We are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP.
Although we love your little ones, in order to give our guests (and parents!) a night of relaxation, we respectfully request no children unless specifically included on the save the date/invitation. We encourage you to use this evening as a "date night" for yourself!
Yes - We have 20 rooms blocked at the Sheraton Hotel in Station Square. For more information and to book your reservation through our reserved block, please visit the "Travel" section of the website. We have listed other hotels in the "Travel" section of the website, however we have not blocked rooms at these locations and will not be providing transportation to the reception from those hotels.
We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This just means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. Why? Well, we've hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone blocking that moment for them to capture. After we have walked back down the isle as a husband and wife, feel free to take as many photos as you would like! We promise to share the ceremony photos as soon as we get them.
We kindly ask that you leave the centerpieces as we are partnering with a local charity named Scent with Love and will be donating our centerpieces after the reception to be delivered to local hospitals and those in need of cheer around Pittsburgh.
