Met at a Bar. Version one portrayed by Nicole's point of view: I was talking with a guy and suddenly I felt another mans arm wrapped around me ( It was Matthew) and I remember thinking this man is very buff and very attractive do not say anything stupid Nicole. With Matthew's arm around me he said to the guy I was talking to, "Hey, this is my girlfriend," and well if you know ME I laughed and walked out of the bar whispering something along the lines of "you..wish". I saw Matthew running after me...seriously he was jogging. After a few blocks of Matthew saying "hey, wait up" I figured a man who can run, deserves a date. Met at a bar. Version two portrayed by Matthew's point of view: I did not run, I walked up the flight of stairs at the bar called the Basement.... she turned around immediately and the rest is history. (most who were there don't 100% recall the meeting or most of the night, but it did happen and a number was exchanged).
It was Thursday, November 29th and Matthew made plans for us to go on a hike, watch the sunset and enjoy a late dinner but I wasn't up for it, I had an eventful day lets reschedule. ( I was refusing to get ready: hair, makeup, the works.) The next day on Friday, November 30th Matthew came in strong with some more activities. We could go out tonight?! get dressed lets go have a fun night!? and yet again I was firm in my sweatpants, lets just watch a movie tonight, play a game and go to sleep. (I am sounding SUPER fun) as you can guess this went on again Saturday, December 1st. Sunday, December 2nd 2019: I wake up with plans to go shopping with my sister Jenna for Christmas gifts, so I finally pulled my hair out of my bun, and put some pants on... I am getting ready to leave the house and Matthew goes "Lets take the dogs for a quick walk" now, we walk our dogs everyday but TODAY was different, I came back ENGAGED. Matthew got down on one knee and said the most wonderful things I have ever heard and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with a man that SO patiently waited for me to look presentable for a proposal! :) Lemon and Juice approved.
