What is the dress code?

Answer

We would like to ask guests to dress formally for this special occasion. We envision our wedding as a big party in a gardenscape! Ladies are encouraged to find long or midi dresses with soft summery colors. Formal pantsuits are also recommended for ladies as well. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a suit or dress shirt and pants. Please be mindful of the weather when choosing an outfit and bring sunscreen if needed. We will be outside for the entire event.

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

Please know that the entire celebration will be outdoors and the ceremony space is in the grass. We recommend wearing shoes with a flat or chunky heel to avoid sinking in the grass. The dance floor is also made of brick.

Is the Ceremony and Reception at the same place?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony is being held in the Allee and the reception is at the Courtyard and Carriage House. Cocktail hour will be held in front of the reception space at the Carriage House patio. There will be signs in the garden.

When can I arrive?

Answer

Kingwood has given all of our wedding guests free admission to the gardens for the day of the wedding. We highly encourage you to take this opportunity and explore this beautiful place. You may come early and check out the gardens or arrive closer to the ceremony time. The ceremony will begin at 3pm so please find your seat by 2:30pm.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to the size of the venue, unless specified on your invitation, there is not room to bring an additional person. We appreciate your presence and can't wait to see you!
