We enjoy paddle boarding at Huntington Beach Harbor. It has a few launch spots for kayaking, swimming or paddle boarding and is very peaceful and family/pet friendly.

Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge is a wildlife refuge encompassing 965 acres located in the California costal community of Seal Beach. It is kid-friendly.

Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve

The reserve is designed by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to protect a coastal wetland and upland, with both migratory and resident threatened endangered species of wildlife and wildflowers. This is good for kids.
