We're Getting Married!

Matthew and Isabela met each other at Texas A&M University while Matt was preparing to enter an interview for the student organization Isa was a mentor in. "I'm from El Paso" is all Isa heard to get her attention. She looked up and saw a tall red headed guy. "I'm from El Paso too!" From that point on, they had one another's attention. In July of 2019, Matthew took the first step and admitted his feelings for Isabela. Luckily, they were reciprocated! After countless summer hours on FaceTime, they decided to go out on a real date. Matt and Isa went on their first date in El Paso. They were both nervous, but have been inseparable since. They became an official couple on August 23, 2019. Almost four years later on July 30, 2023, Matthew asked Isabela to marry him on campus where they had met. Isabela had actually guessed when and how the proposal was going to happen. However, with the help of her family and her best friends, she was thrown off Matt's tracks. What she thought was an innocent graduation photo shoot turned out to be an engagement photo shoot. And of course...she said yes!!! Through their five year journey, Matt and Isabela have started their family with their dog, Obi, and have moved to New Mexico where they have continued their journey. Who would have known that traveling 700 miles from home for their education led to their happily ever after.
