Things to Do In Atlanta
The Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail
We highly recommend making your way over to The Atlanta Beltline. The Beltline is an extraordinary attraction for visitors and residents alike. It connects 45 neighborhoods via a paved path that was formerly train tracks. We recommend you take a short uber ride from the hotel to Ponce City Market (see description below). Stroll around Ponce City Market before heading up to the 3rd floor to reach the Beltline (there will be signs). Once you reach the Beltline from Ponce, head out to your right and walk along the paved trail for as long as you like. If you have the time, we recommend you walk 1.5 miles along the Beltline where you will find dozens of bars and restaurants, as well as good people watching. You can either take an uber back to hotel from there or turn around and walk back for more exercise.
Ponce City Market
Ponce City Market is a mixed use development located in a former Sears catalog facility in Atlanta, with national and local retail anchors, restaurants, a food hall, boutiques and offices. Some of our favorite vendors are H&F Burger (get the fries, too), Hop's Chicken, King of Pops (try the Poptails), and Five Daughters Bakery. You can also visit their rooftop (for a fee) which includes skyline views, a bar, carnival games and rides, and mini golf. Make sure once you're finished visiting Ponce City Market you head out onto the Beltline next.
Politan Row at Colony Square
Located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, Politan Row at Colony Square features 12 independent restaurant concepts, private event space, a patio bar, and its very own hidden cocktail lounge (JoJo's Beloved) across a 20,000 square foot complex. We love grabbing a bite to eat from one of the many restaurant options, followed by cocktails at JoJo's Beloved (make sure to call ahead or visit their website to reserve a time).
Piedmont Park
Piedmont Park is a 200+ acre green space in the heart of Altanta and only 2 blocks from the Loew's hotel. Paved paths make it easy to walk, run, bike, or scooter around the park which features views of the city. Entrances to the park can be found on 11th or 12th streets.
Atlanta Botanical Garden
Atlanta Botanical Garden is an urban oasis in the heart of midtown Atlanta, and is adjacent to Piedmont Park. The Garden include 30 acres of outdoor gardens, and the serene Storza Woods. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the website listed here.
Georgia Aquarium
The Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia is a large, world-class aquarium that's home to thousands of animals and over 500 species. The Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere, with over 11 million gallons of water and tens of thousands of fish. Tickets can be purchased through the website in advance.
World of Coca-Cola
The World of Coca‑Cola is a museum, located in Atlanta, Georgia, showcasing the history of The Coca‑Cola Company and its brands. You will get to taste over 100 beverages from around the world in the tasting room (be sure to try the Beverly). The World of Coca‑Cola is located at Pemberton Place right next to the Georgia Aquarium. Tickets can be purchased at the website in advance.
High Museum of Art
Located in the heart of Atlanta, the High Museum of Art features a collection of more than 20,000 works of art, a dynamic schedule of special exhibitions and engaging community-focused programs. Tickets can be purchased through website in advance.
