Matt is a brewer and a few years ago, he taught Catherine the basics of homebrewing beer. After a while this graduated to researching and writing new recipes. They brewed their first beer together and both of them loved it! So it was only natural that when it came time to propose, Matt decided to brew up another batch in secret of that first recipe they had written together. He bottled it and labeled it "Hoppily Ever After". Then it was off to the Portland International Rose Test Garden for a special picnic. He asked Catherine to marry him and showed her the special bottle, and she said yes! After that, their lives descended into the chaos and stress of planning a wedding! Yay!
