Downtown Mystic
This address will take you to Mystic Pizza (but we prefer Pizzetta right around the corner!). Some of our favorites downtown include the award-winning Sift Bakeshop for a breakfast pastry and other baked treats, Mix Rooftop & Bar for drinks and snacks, Red 36 for seafood, drinks, and ambience, or Engine Room for an AMAZING burger. There’s also tons of great shopping downtown if you’re looking to kill time!
Main Street, Niantic
More great shopping, a quaint and old fashioned movie theater, and an amazing boardwalk with ocean views, perfect for a summer stroll.
The Book Barn
Deserves its own space! A paradise of gently used books that you can get lost in for HOURS.
Captain Scott's Lobster Dock
Some of the best seafood, chowder, and french fries on the shoreline (in Caitlin’s humble opinion). Don’t sleep on the footlong hotdog either!
Mini-Golf at Saybrook Point
A coastal themed mini golf course right on the water. Take a stroll next door to Saybrook Point Resort for cocktails or a bite to eat overlooking the marina.
River Ridge Golf Course
A beautiful, playable golf course just a few minutes from Caitlin's childhood home. Tip: although the first several holes are flat, the rest of the course is quite hilly. Unless you're looking to get in some serious cardio, we recommend a cart for this course. Tulli's Taphouse is the restaurant on site, and the food and views are both great!
Arrowhead Acres
This vineyard is owned by one of Caitlin's high school classmates, and serves some of the best wine in Southeastern CT. If you've ventured out of the immediate Norwich area and are looking for other vineyard recommendations, we love Stonington Vineyards (Stonington, CT), Saltwater Farm (Stonington, CT), Priam Vineyards (Colchester, CT), and Preston Ridge Vineyard (Preston, CT)
