No. We will be having our wedding in a Catholic church, and we ask all attendees to be respectful of the space. The reception venue also discourages costumes. We do, however, welcome subtle references to the spooky season (ties, jewelry, etc.).
As previously mentioned, we ask that you don't bring full costume. Halloween accessories that we encourage include socks, ties, pocket squares, jewelry, etc. The reception venue also has their own dress code that we ask all guests to abide by: no denim jeans, short shorts, cutoffs, t-shirts, or halter tops are permitted. Thank you for being cooperative!
The reception will be held at The Shannopin Country Club the evening following the wedding (5pm-10pm). Details will be shown on the RSVP page.
Yes! All babies are welcome. We will also have kids menus available for all kids 12 and under (see RSVP page). Note: All older kids invited will be noted on your RSVP! If you have a newborn or infant that is not on the RSVP, please contact and let us know.
Please do not gather every infant in a 20 mile radius and unleash them all at our reception. I'm begging you.
[Pending] There will be an open bar for 3-4 hours (TBD). IDs will be required, so none of those small children you asked about before will participate.
Yes, there will be a cookie table! This is a Pittsburgh tradition where friends and family prepare various batches of cookies and bring them to the reception, where a very large table will collect them. Then we all eat the cookies. If you wish, please bring an amount of cookies you feel comfortable bringing. We will be asking a few individuals to definitely bring a lot, so no pressure.
Yes, Rebecca Deucher. We WILL have cake.
