Flight

Airports

We'd recommend flying to Milan Malpensa International Airport (MXP), this is the closest airport to Como, it is located about 35 kilometers from the city. Other nearby airports include Milan Linate Airport (LIN), about 41 kilometers away, which is in the city centre of Milan. And finally, Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (BGY), about 50 kilometers away.

Hotel

Accommodation

We'd recommend to stay in Como Centro for the night before and the night of the wedding. Accommodation can be quite expensive, however Como is FULL of beautiful airbnb's. Como is a huge area, so make sure when booking you take into account the postcode 22100. As mentioned, we plan on organising a shuttle service to and from Como Centro to the church and reception venue. Please feel free to contact us for any questions or concerns about accommodation.

Train

Airport Transfers

Our top suggestion would be the train from Milan Malpensa airport, both terminals have a train station within the airport making it really easy. Como city has 2 main train stations, Como Lago and Como San Giovanni. You can purchase tickets directly at the station, or, we'd suggest using the Trainline app or website, where you'll receive a QR code immediately. Taxi's from the airport can be extremely expensive, it's definitely recommended to pre-book. There are licensing laws on taxi's in Italy, making Uber almost non-existent.

Rental Car

Car Hire

Please be wary about hiring a car unless you have parking provided at your chosen accommodation. Como can be extremely busy, and it is almost impossible (and very expensive) to find any parking during peak hours. Please note that you cannot drive within the historical city walls of central Como without a permit.

Travel Note

Shuttle from Como

We're planning to organise a shuttle service to and from Como Central to the Church and Reception venue. Stay tuned for more info...
