We both swiped right! At the time Matt was working with special needs adults in a day program. Audrey thought they would have lots to talk about since she was a special education teacher. They met for drinks at a local bar. All went well, so Matt decided to ask if she wanted to go to a movie. Although it was a school night, and they both had to be up early, Audrey agreed to continue their date.

Matt and Audrey have been together for 5 years. During that time they have attended many flyers games, rescued a stray cat, gone on several vacations, and recently adopted a kitten. They love last minute adventures like driving around, spending time on the beach, and sitting by a fire on a cool night.

Matt and Audrey were at their friends annual Christmas Eve party. It had been a rough year with the pandemic and quarantine. It was a small group of friends, but they were all in on the proposal plan. Some of their friends suggested we go into the other room to play a game of darts, conveniently this was where the tree was for a great photo op. After just a few rounds, it was suggested we pause for some couples photos in front of the tree. Matt and Audrey went last, and after standing there for a minute or so, Audrey looked over to see if they were done. As she turned, Matt got down on one knee. Audrey couldn't believe this was happening and was both nervous and excited. Of course she said yes!
