Dr. April Hill is a blast to be around and is a badass Chemistry Professor in Colorado. April and Tonya first met in the SEVENTH grade!! April then went on to become their class valedictorian! April's family welcomed Tonya on trips such as to Nordic Fest and to the Powwow. Those experiences along with April's friendship helped to shape Tonya's viewpoints of the world. Some favorite memories of that time involve a lot of laughter, dancing, and being boy crazy! :) April is married to Randy and has two sons, Lincoln and Carter.
Heath Reimers
Best Man
Heath and Matt have been friends since the transformative days of Middle School where one of Matt's earliest memories is Heath pushing him out of the way of their shared locker. Heath moved his family back to Ames to prepare for our wedding. His early feral childhood prepared him for a career in Materials Science Engineering where he is constantly testing the limits of earthly substances.
Dr. Karen Bittner
Bridesmaid
Dr. Karen Bittner and Tonya have been friends for TWENTY years! Tonya first met Karen "on the dance floor" and through April and Randy. Randy was first friends with Karen's brother! Karen is an Ames native, then lived in Czechoslovakia with her family while she was in the 3rd grade and then returned to Ames. She is multitalented with bachelor's degrees in Art & Design and Psychology and with a PhD in Social Psychology. She is amazingly talented at sewing and cosplay. Karen's natural state is one of playfulness. :) Karen and Tonya have been through a lot together with friends, camping, and kitties.
Conan Kemp
Groomsman
Conan hails from the North Country of Minnesota. With royal Luxembourgian heritage, he excelled in his studies at Iowa State University, where he chanced a meeting and forged an unlikely friendship with fellow scholar, Matt (i.e. they had a class together and lived on the same dorm floor). It was once said Conan placed the entirety of his higher education on a single hand-made authentic signature.
Kimi Imwiehe

Tonya met Kimi twenty years ago through April, during April and Randy's wedding which was at Reiman Gardens!! Kimi is a firecracker and lights up every room and makes friends wherever she goes. She is a talented artist specializing in glass and she is an exceptional hostess having ran her own Victorian Bed and Breakfast. Kimi studied and lived abroad where she sold her glasswares and had a dedicated fan following. Many shenanigans and costume parties occurred at Kimi's Bed and Breakfast. Kimi's S.O. is Scott.
Jesse Swanson
Groomsman
Jesse lives in Portlandia and has been friends with Matt since elementary school. He's been there through thick and thin. In high school Jesse would work all day then, whilst full of Mountain Dew, join the group for late night role-playing games. Some of the best times of our mid-twenties were spent at a pool hall or around a chess board.
Amber Loerzel

Amber Loerzel is a wicked talented graphic designer, artist, and cosplayer. Amber and Tonya met at ISU and were in the Graphic Design program together (two of sixty students in their class). Amber is an old soul beyond her years and maybe this is due to being from a family of SIX siblings! Some fun memories were of hanging out with Amber at her old apartment in Ankeny and also with Amber making her cosplays and Tonya photographing them in different locations. This photo you see of Amber is of her in her Gambit cosplay that she constructed, photographed by Tonya, during Pufferbilly Days in Boone, Iowa. :)
Mark Carran

Mark and Matt met at ProMap Corporation in the late 90s which was a huge chapter in both of their lives. Many shenanigans ensued. This was a stepping stone for Mark in his GIS career. Mark is an excellent addition to any football pitch. (that's soccer). Mark lives here in Ames with his wife Natalie and son Charlie and he is originally from Madison, Wisconsin. Mark is one of the most fun guys to grab a beer with and strike up a conversation.
Audrey Kipp Reimers

Audrey and Tonya met through Matt's circle of friends and Tonya claims Audrey as her own! Audrey is an avid reader and has the best sense of humor. She can be really patient and caring yet quick-witted and insightful. In addition, she is always heart-centric yet a lives a little on the wild side. :) Audrey has been trying new things and ran a marathon at Disney this past year!! She is married to Heath, (they first started dating in high school) (!!) Audrey and Heath have two daughters, Corrine and Amelia.
Eric Loecher

Eric is a GIS professional turned election expert. He also met Matt at ProMap Corporation in the late 90s. Eric lives in Cedar Rapids with his wife Alyssa and son Carter. Eric is super reliable and kindhearted. Here's a story. One NYE a small group gathered at Eric (and Travis') apartment. The newest Grand Theft Auto game came out which Matt had not yet acquired. Eric and friends let Matt play for hours as they watched and cheered him on as Matt stole cars and ransacked Vice City.
Corrine Reimers

Corrine is Audrey and Heath's eldest kiddo! We claim Corrine as our goddaughter! She is so fun to be around, has a great sense of humor, and a vibrant personality. She is really caring and loves animals. We have learned a lot from her about snakes! :D She is whip-smart and we've enjoyed watching her blossom into a young adult. When we announced our wedding she asked *us if she could be a flower girl (but we had all ready planned on asking). :) Thank you, Corrine!
Amelia Reimers
Flower Youth
Amelia Reimers is Audrey and Heath's youngest daughter. She is our goddaughter and we are so proud of her. Amelia has an excellent sense of humor and loves puns (which we also love). We are pretty sure she could be a stand-up comedian! :) She is very caring towards animals and she is a Cat Whisperer. Amelia is multitalented and excels in all things artistic. She is also an athlete. Thank you for agreeing to be in our wedding, Amelia!
Carter Hill
Ring Bearer
Carter is April and Randy's son and he is an amazing kiddo. When we last visited the Hills, Carter was just old enough to get into the Stanley Hotel Ghost Hunting Tour. On our visit he referred to Matt as Matthew McConaughey which stole our hearts. Thank you to Carter for being our Ring Bearer. AKA Lord of the Rings. :)
Lincoln Hill
Usher
Lincoln is April and Randy's eldest son. He is an amazing young man and is multitalented with interests in martial arts, art and design, videography, history, and more. He has already started to sell his own line of hand-crafted fingerboards. He's a realist and very caring towards animals. Thank you for agreeing to be an usher (and bouncer), Lincoln! :P

Randy is married to April and they have two amazing sons. They live in Colorado and there is a lot of love in their home. Randy is passionate and has a hilarious temperament. He enjoys Warhammer and tabletop games. Both Matt and Tonya love hanging out with him (please come to the wedding even though you have a busted tibia, Randy). :) (Update: please send Randy good vibes as he had surgery recently to remove a blood clot.)

Kara and Tonya met through Kimi somewhat recently. However, Kara has been friends with Kimi since ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! (How haven't we met sooner?!) Kara is a sweet and compassionate person. She loves to travel and runs in marathons! She also loves to discover new things, takes classes, and visits as many friends as possible. She has three adult children of which she is quite proud. Kara really cares about other people and finds ways to help them. With all of these traits she makes the perfect Wedding Mom! Thank you, Kara!

Scott is Kimi's Significant Other and we absolutely love him. He is a pilot and has two precious kitties. He likes to relax by playing pinball :) and he loves to travel! We have a blast seeing the fun trips he and Kimi take and he is so good to her. :) Scott has a step-daughter and is also a grandpa! He is kind, compassionate, and caring. With these traits we knew he would make an excellent Wedding Dad!! Thank you, Scott!

Reverend Carolyn Bittner is Karen's mother. Through the years of hearing what Carolyn has been up to through Karen, being around Carolyn at gatherings, and with her background in the Peace Corps, involvement in Upward Bound, and with similar worldly viewpoints, we knew that she is just the right woman for the job. Brooke and Tonya met at ISU in the Graphic Design program. After graduation Brooke pivoted into photography and she is now an award-winning wedding photographer!! Both Matt and Tonya are honored she agreed to capture our epic day! :)
