Matthew grew up in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi with his parents, Eddie and Karen Renz, and siblings. Taylor grew up in Thibodaux, Louisiana with her parents, Mark and Bonnie Benoit, and siblings.

We met online in early 2016. With us living in two different states, we did not meet in person until the end of that year. Most of our early dates took place in the New Orleans area, since that was the middle point for us both.

We moved in together late 2018 then decided to adopted our first pup, Mya. Later came our second pup, Nolah (see gallery tab for photos), named after the city that held so many of our early dates... and Matt’s favorite football team! Who dat!

We have spent most of our relationship traveling and enjoying life. On our most recent trip, a Western Caribbean cruise, Matt surprised me, Taylor, and popped the question. Of course, I said yes! Next up is our wedding, locating our “forever” home and then the rest is to be continued!
