-the start of this fun & crazy journey-

12.7.7

Matt & Shelle met in Bozeman, Montana on December 7th, 2007 when Matt was on his football recruiting trip. They became close friends hanging out every weekend at the Sheridan, Tracy or Donna house. They watched many Broncos games together, cheered each other on during their football/volleyball games and always fought over food (that has not changed). Some of their best college memories were spent together. They cherish their time at Montana State for not only bringing them together, but bringing other amazing friendships into their lives. They never would have thought 14 years later they would be engaged and planning a wedding.

-the famous broncos trip-

12.2.12

The trip idea started when Shelle was giving Matt the usual grief about him claiming he was the "biggest Broncos fan" but he had never been to a Broncos home game. Within a day, Matt booked his trip out to Denver to visit Shelle and watch the Broncos beat Tampa Bay 31-23. From that day on, they started to care for each other deeper than just friends.

-the proposal-

8.17.18

Matt proposed on the shore of Sloan's Lake, one of their favorite places in Denver. If you know Shelle, she loves sunsets especially when it includes the Colorado mountains or the California coast. The idea was to walk around the lake during the sunset before going to dinner. During the walk, Matt pulled Shelle off to the side where he knew the photographer was hiding to capture the proposal. Once in the perfect spot, Matt got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. Full of emotion, both have no idea what was said prior to "Will you marry me?" and "Yes" but it was the perfect moment for them. One thing Shelle does remember, is the moment Matt put the ring on her finger and how amazing it was to see the ring he designed himself. They then did an engagement photo shoot around the lake with the photographer. Once they were done with the photos, Matt had another surprise. He drove down the street, parking by a couple of condos which later on would be the AirBnB's all of their family and friends were staying in. She asked what they were up to and Matt told her that he hired a personal sushi chef for dinner to celebrate. As they walked up the stairs into the condo, she was surprised by friends and family to celebrate the engagement! The photographer was great as she caught all the special moments throughout the proposal and the engagement party surprise. They loved celebrating their journey with so many of their favorite people and can't wait to see everyone on the big day!
