How we Met

Met... and then re-met

From Shannon’s perspective: On a warm autumn day in 2011… KIDDING. Neither of us really remember this part that well. But it goes something like this.. I started working for EdgeRock Technology Partners *sponsored ad* right after college. Matt’s two besties (Jason and Josh Hulme.. brothers, not lovers) had been working there for quite some time. Coincidentally my work bestie (Erin) fell for Matt’s real life bestie (Jason). Are you still following? Clarks in Fanieul Hall. That’s where we both think we met for the first time. I was being a stellar wing woman to go out and hang with Erins new crush. Matt was there with the boys. (Matt claims he remembers me walking in… we’ll stick to that story because it sounds more romantic) Regardless.. We both went on our way, without giving it a second thought. **FAST FORWARD** The year is 2016. I lived in Arizona for a few years to get out of the North East to “find myself”. Welp.. not sure that I found anything, except an empty bank account and some lifelong friends! I came back to Boston because my nieces were too damn cute to only see twice a year. While I had been gone, Jason and Erin had moved in together, gotten engaged, and were getting married! Being a lifelong EdgeRock Star, I was invited to the “bachelor/bachelorette’ surprise party bus. Honestly – I didn’t want to go, I had just moved home - started a new job, and was just tired! But I put on some heels, curled my hair – and met them in Boston! Matt was also invited to the party. He also, wasn’t going to go (he went out the night before and was a tinnyyy bit hungover). But I’m sure glad he did : ) I remembered him right away, could see him eyeing me from the other side of the party bus ;) He finally came over to say hello and the rest was… well… History! I had a few too many, tried hanging my head out the window of the bus to yell at strangers. Matt not only allowed, but he joined in. Timing is everything, so they say!
