As all great stories begin, our paths unexpectedly crossed at church and our lives would never be the same. I first broke the ice by asking if she likes her mini Cooper thinking we would connect through cars. Boy, was I off. But that didn't stop me from talking to my future wife. From talks of lifting weights on Sundays to eating In-N-Out on Wednesdays, suddenly she became my world in itself. Our love grew closer and stronger after every hi and bye. To hikes in the morning to dinner dates at night. Fast forward to 2021 we’ll be saying I do to a life filled with lots of adventures, happiness, and love.
I asked one of life's defining questions at the first mountain peak where I realized she is the one. Amid the apocalypse, surprising her was a difficult task. With limited ideas to catch her off guard, I dug into my heart and found what was meaningful than just a crowd.. revisiting our very first date. With my friend David, his girl, and their dog waiting on top with a drone and camera, I got on one knee and I said "no more games" (I joked around one too many times) followed by an "I'm serious this time". And then I asked the infamous question... Will you marry me? She didn't believe me. She took a step back to catch her breath and bent forward. But after what felt like an eternity she then said yes. She said yes on February 20, 2021.
