Question

#1 ~ Dementia & Alzheimer's Research

Answer

https://www.alz.org/ Matt & Rich have both worked in healthcare, and have dedicated portions of their working careers to dementia care and the treatment of older adults. The Alzheimer's Association searches for a cure, and supports patients and caregivers in the meantime.

Question

#2 ~ Gun Violence Prevention

Answer

https://www.everytown.org/solutions/ Both Matt & Rich have first-person experience with active threats of gun violence. We are just two of tens of thousands of others in this country with similar stories. Even the majority of gun-owners support increased research, common-sense gun reform and improved safety for all our homes and communities across the nation. Everytown is leading the way in these efforts.

Question

#3 ~ Supporting Unhoused, Queer Youth

Answer

https://www.thetrevorproject.org/ It's an accident of birth that the two of us were each born into loving, and supportive families - ones who'd even come and celebrate a day like this with us. It isn't lost on us that this day, our celebration, and our love is entirely conditional - more than other couples - on those around us (our families, our communities, our politicians). We're blessed with the best - and for so many, that is not the case. Everyone deserves the safety, respect, and love that we enjoy.
