Maid of Honor
Kelsey and I met 15 years ago in Girl Scouts. We did not keep in touch as much during high school, but reconnected during summer classes at Calhoun and realized how much we had in common. We quickly became the best of friends and though we have had a long distance friendship for many years our friendship has only continued to grow. Many fun nights out, trips, and shopping outings later I do not know what I would do without my sweet and spunky friend Kelsey.
Best Man
My friendship with Andrew is so old that it is required to sign up for selective services, dating back to sixth grade history. Countless sleepovers with all-nighter video game sessions, pool days, buffets, boys trips, and a nearly 12 year long text chain define a friendship that many people would do anything for. It only makes sense for him to be at the alter for the big day.
Bridesmaid
Amy and I met in College during my Freshman year, but became extremely close when she took up my offer to join me for a weekend in Atlanta during my time co-oping at Georgia Power. We certainly had a weekend to remember and have had many fun nights out since. Amy is one of the sweetest and smartest people I have ever met and I have no doubt that everyone who encounters Amy has the same thought.
Groomsman
How many people would be willing to be friends with someone that kicked them in the thumb? I met John the spring semester of my freshman year of college, where I was attempting to punt a football during a flag football game. For some reason, maybe from lack of choice, he stuck around after the thumb incident. Alabama football, beach trips, weekly video game sessions with the college guys, and a trip or two to Vegas are some of the defining moments of our friendship and why he is one of my groomsmen for our wedding.
Bridesmaid
Amanda and I met during my time at Auburn and she is actually my grand-little in our Sorority. Amanda and I ended up suffering through the same classes when I came back from my co-op and we spent countless nights working through problems in Shelby. Amanda is one of the kindest people I have met and she would do anything for her friends and family and has a love for the Charmin Bears that is unmatched.
Groomsman
Matt Kovach is the type of friend that invites you to his house after meeting each other for two hours. I met Matt in 2019 at a Huntsville Young Professionals event, and promptly received an invite to his house to play Dungeons and Dragons with a group of 5 other guys. His wife wouldn't know about the random stranger invited to her house for several hours. Needless to say her fears of murder were unfounded (for now), but what started as a simple D&D group in 2019 has turned into one of my closest friendships. Matt succeeded his saving throw for being one of my groomsmen.
Bridesmaid
Laurel and I met in Girl Scouts and we reconnected when we started working at Pine Ridge Day Camp together. It has been a wild and crazy ride since! Laurel is a wonderful friend who keeps things fun no matter the distance between us.
Groomsman
I have known Chris for nearly as long as Andrew, but going that far back makes anyone's memories fuzzy. Chris is one of my closest friends, constituting the high school power five group. Countless band events, video games, trips, and now a high school band director to my brother and sister have kept Chris close not only to me, but my family as a whole. Im grateful that he said yes to being my groomsman.
