Travel Note

Habibi!!!! Welcome to Dubai

Dubai is a city unlike any other! Where ancient Emirati culture meets visionary modernity. Expect world-class architecture, extraordinary cuisine, breathtaking landscapes, and a warmth of hospitality. November is the most magical time to visit: warm, sunny days and cool, perfect evenings. Weather: 77–86°F. Sunny skies, gentle breezes, ideal for outdoor celebrations. Architecture: Home to the world's tallest building, man-made islands, and futuristic skylines. Cuisine: From Emirati feasts to Michelin-starred dining, Dubai's food scene is unmatched. ---------------------------------- Getting to Dubai Dubai International (DXB) — Primary airport, closest to most hotels and venues. Sharjah (SHJ) — Budget-friendly option, ~30 min from Dubai. Abu Dhabi (AUH) — Great for combining a capital city visit, ~1 hr drive to Dubai. Visa Requirements: American and European passport holders receive a 30-day visa on arrival. Please check visa requirements for other nationalities ahead of travel. ----------------------------------- Culture Notes: Dubai is modern and welcoming. The only time you are expected to dress modestly is when visiting mosques or traditional souks. Public displays of affection are best kept minimal in public spaces. Dress code for the wedding itinerary: Welcome Dinner: Smart casual and relaxed. Desert Safari: Relaxed, comfortable, Arabian if you feel like it. Beach Brunch: Resort chic, swimwear. Wedding Reception: Chic and glamour. Your time to go all out. Connectivity & Transportation: Free SIM cards are available on arrival at DXB for most tourists. You should be able to pop into most stores to activate a data plan. Please note, voice and video calling does not work on WhatsApp. Uber and Careem and Dubai taxis operate citywide. The metro is clean, efficient, and connects major areas.
