Hutch & Waldo Cafe
Cozy little hot spot right on our street for a fantastic bespoke caffeinated beverage or healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner meal. You might even spot Zendaya, who is a regular at this Australian-run coffee haunt. Matt usually treats himself to a fancy coffee here on Saturday mornings.
Calexico
One of our go-to Mexican spots, with excellent tacos, quesadillas, and a banging margarita happy hour. It has a lively, colorful vibe, and we love it bunches. Whether it's for dinner or brunch, it's all good.
The Polo Bar
Classic New American fare served below the bustling streets of NYC. The burger is amazing, the popovers are amazing, the martinis are amazing, the brownie sundae is amazing. Great for special celebrations!
Serendipity 3
No place more romantic or iconic. Get their frozen hot chocolate and footlong hot dogs.
The Daisy
Great place to get your tequila on. Cozy and romantic vibe, lots of candles, we've spent many late nights here with friends over the years. It used to be Molly Pitchers, where we also spent many late nights.
Pastis
Although not on the Upper East Side, this place IS New York City. Matt has dragged everyone here at one point or another, during its heyday on Ninth Avenue, or it's most recent revival on Gansevoort, it's only gotten better with age. Get the burger, or the steak frites, the carafe of rosé, the croque madame and enjoy life!
Cecconi's Dumbo
Also not on the Upper East Side (sorry), this place is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner, there is literally something for everyone. It's super cozy and romantic and has a stellar view of NYC.
