The story of us began with church affiliation and acquaintance... Then we decided-to hang out one day early in January this year for the first time ever and did some fun friendly activities together with friends without any expectations but friendship. It was really nice just having adult friendships, company, conversations, experiencing VR for the first time, playing board games, solving mysteries and Escaping the Escape Room just to name a few. The more time we spent together the more we realized the comfort and peace we felt with each other’s company and our Love for God, other similar interests and how natural everything fell into place and felt for us. And then... he started teaching me to dance and sharing many musical listening experiences I hadn’t known and we just grew closer and closer until Jan 27th when he asked me to go steady. Just before Valentines day we went to Academy and picked out a pellet grill smoker we had both been interested in prior to hanging out together. Oh the food we have smoked in it!!! Learned real quickly what not to do and the best rule of thumb and advice for anyone is low and slow! We went through a few things (health and surgery related) and stayed by each other’s side... then on May 22nd Matt proposed on his knees in the most surprising fashion outside on the front porch of his home. I couldn’t help but say YES and here we are...Oct 27th approaching quickly...
