Matt and I met senior year at Baylor. It was in May, the weekend before finals week, when some of my friends decided to take a day trip to Austin. My friend had invited Matt (who I'd heard about but never actually met). We split up into two cars to drive down to Austin and Matt happened to be in my car :) We went to brunch at Magnolia Cafe and I made sure to sit next to Matt. After that, we drove to Jacob's Well, which is a local swimming hole. Super randomly, Business Insider was filming a video at Jacob's Well, so we had to sign release forms so that we could get famous in the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-mxEskTeqw, 1:11 and 1:17 you can me standing as close as I possibly can to Matt haha). Then we all went to Amy's Ice Cream at 6th and Baylor St. (random coincidence) and I was annoyed that I had to drive my car back early so that Matt's friend could make a dinner thing. It was then on the drive home that we started to get to know each other. We didn't even have each other's phone numbers yet, but our same group text for Jacob's Well decided to go to Scruffs (a bar near Baylor) and I had seen that a number with a 310 (California) area code had liked the message to go. It was my first time at Scruffs and it was PACKED for senior night. I had been waiting around, looking for him all night when our group was on our way out, and I saw Matt (yay!). I did my best to continue our conversation from the other day (I had watched the Netflix show he'd told me about just so I could be sure to have something to talk about). Our conversation was quickly cut short by all people and I went home kind of bummed, but I KNEW I liked him. Summer was just around the corner though, so I was SUPER excited when he asked for my number :). We talked the whole summer off and on and our crushes grew stronger. As soon as we got back to school in the fall, he asked me to go on our first date. And that was the start...♥
