The 1st time we met, we hardly made an impression (although 1 of us made slightly more of an impression…). It was a crowded break-the-fast for Yom Kippur 2013. She was there with her friend, & although I spent more time talking to Blondie that night, I did notice this brunette cutie, who seemed otherwise occupied….2 months later- I attended a party in DC, with Blondie, & saw that same cutie I’d seen that 1st night. This time, the cutie was there with her own date. We didn’t really have any memorable interaction with each other (although, 1 candid shot from the evening – indicates we did in fact have at least 1 conversation!). Regardless, we ended up in a group photo from the event (see "Photos") A year-and-a-half would elapse before fate drew the two of us together again, at a Birthday party for a mutual friend at Fig & Olive in DC. She was with someone at that time, & I was getting over a recent relationship, so needless to say, there would be no sparks between us that night! However, it was during this night that we actually had a conversation both of us remembered. She’d mentioned someone who went to Emory & I mentioned that I sang acappella, but the conversation didn’t get beyond that. Shortly thereafter, the party ended, & we went our separate ways… Finally, our 4th encounter! Hurricane Harvey devastated Texas Summer of '17, and a mutual friend, hosted a fundraiser in DC. It was here that I ran into this same woman again. She gave no indication that she remembered having met me any of the first 3 times; however, I was determined to have a conversation with her this time around. We got to talking, I realized how sweet this Atlanta cutie was. We chatted for a little bit & then, when I mentioned the Dirty Souf rap group, Trap Squad, it was all over from there- we knew on some level, we had met our match! We had deli sandwiches, in the pouring rain, sharing Dr. Brown’s. I didn’t kiss her that night, but there was definitely a spark…the first of many!
