Question

What else should I consider traveling from US to Mexico?

Answer

Cell phone - Contact your service provider if you plan on using phone internationally. Most plans include service in Mexico but best to check ahead. Hotels will have WiFi available. Credit cards - Credit cards are widely accepted throughout Mexico but its always a good idea to keep cash handy. notify your bank of the upcoming trip to avoid any holds/blocks to account during stay in Mexico. US Dollars - Mexican vendors will gladly accept american dollars but they may exchange dollar at a lower rate than if you had exchanged for pesos ahead of time. There are many money exchange booths just before crossing the border and I would recommend exchanging money ahead of time.
