Millenium Park Ice Rink
Skates are $15 to rent on weekends. It gets crowded (and cold) so Park Grill, The Gage, and Tavern at the Park are all good places to warm up/wait!
Maggie Daley Ice Skating Ribbon
If the Millennium Park Rink is too crowded, this is a great back-up! Skates are also $15 to rent here.
Christkindlmarket Chicago
Outdoor Christmas market with vendors (and hot wine!). Admission is free.
Holiday Tea or Drinks at The Drake
This is one of our favorite spots to go during Christmastime. They have Holiday Tea during the day, and you can usually find a jazz band there at night!
Butch McGuire's
Hands down the most festive bar/restaurant you will find in Chicago - you will find lots of Christmas decor and 45,000 lights strung throughout. Lunch is served during this day, but this turns into a bar at night. It gets crowded but it's worth the wait!
Christmas Shopping
There are plenty of shops along Michigan Avenue (north of the hotel). Water Tower Place, Shops at North Bridge, and 900 North Michigan are indoor malls and a great place to avoid the cold! If you are heading south of the hotel towards Millennium Park, you can stop at Macy's on State Street - it is very festive at Christmastime.
