We're so excited to celebrate with you!

We met how many modern couples meet these days - online! Matt asked about my recent half marathon and running routes in Ypsilanti and we hit it off right away! Our first date was at Bill's Beer Garden in Ann Arbor and we talked so much we decided to keep the date going, hitting up Mark's Carts for tacos and The Last Word for drinks. The rest, they say, is history ;)

I asked Matt if he wanted to go to an upcoming Lansing Lugnuts baseball game and maybe we could invite our friends Michelle and Kyle if they were free. He said yes, but little did I know he and Michelle had gone ring shopping while I was out of town earlier that month, and Matt was waiting for an unexpected time to pop the question! He started coordinating with the Lugnuts staff to plan a perfect proposal, and of course I remain clueless as this was originally MY idea! At the game, the stadium starts a "Kiss Cam" promotion on the jumbotron and here I am, smiling wondering if maybe after all these years Matt and I will finally be on a Kiss Cam. Then it happens - the staff hand Matt a mic, and before I know it he's down on one knee, asking if I will marry him. The night ended with fireworks :)
