Annapolis has a quaint, historic waterfront with pubs, restaurants, specialty shops, boutiques, art galleries and music venues. It’s easy to spend a day wandering around and we can’t wait for all of you to visit and share our town! There’s a whole lot to do in the city of Annapolis. Dubbed a “Museum Without Walls” for good reason, Annapolis houses the oldest State House in continuous legislative use in the nation. All four Maryland signers of the Declaration of Independence called Annapolis home; three of the houses still remain open to the public. When you get hungry, downtown Annapolis offers a great mix of local restaurants. Choose from crabs (in season) and seafood to pub fare or fine dining. Downtown Annapolis’ independently owned and operated shops are as individual as our dining establishments, each bringing its own unique imprint.

Things To Do

First Sunday Arts Festival in downtown Annapolis is the region's premier monthly arts festival, held the first Sunday of each month from May to November. It is a very popular event with approximately 130 booths of fun and interesting vendors, artists, crafters, musicians, and street performers. West Street is closed to traffic except for pedestrians between Church Circle and Lafayette Street (just a few blocks away from the Westin) and in front of Whitmore parking garage on Calvert Street. We look forward to this event during the nice weather and hope you get a chance to check it out on Sunday June 3rd from 11am to 5pm, admission is free just walk on over! http://www.firstsundayarts.com/

United States Naval Academy

Places to See

Sunday morning services at the US Naval Academy Chapel are open to the public - it is a beautiful chapel and the easiest entry is through Gate 3 at the dead end of Maryland Avenue. Entry is by foot only, and photo ID is required. https://goo.gl/maps/ByDA9Q71mSn
