It all began in an unexpected way, thanks to his cousin, who also happens to be the best man. We didn’t dive straight into a romance. Instead, we started as friends, talking, laughing, and discovering common interests that made the connection between us feel effortless. We quickly learned that we both shared a love for the simple things that make life special—laughing until our sides hurt, spending time with the people who matter most, and basking in the magic of live music. Whether it was an intimate concert or a larger-than-life festival, live music became one of the threads that wove our relationship together. One of the most unforgettable moments came on July 20, 2019. We were at Country Thunder in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin. Little did I know, this was the day he’d ask me to be his girlfriend. In a heartbeat, everything shifted. From that day forward, we were no longer just friends. We became partners—finding joy in the simplest moments, and learning more about each other as we grew. It wasn’t long before I realized this was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Then, in August 2024, on a crisp, quiet day at Lake Katherine in Hazelhurst, Wisconsin, he took me by surprise once again. We were standing on a dock overlooking the serene water, the world feeling still and perfect. With the soft sounds of nature around us, he asked me the most beautiful question I had ever heard, and without hesitation, I said "are you sure?!", quickly followed by YES! In that moment, it was clear: this was just the beginning of a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories.
