We bought a house (yay!!!) and the stress of doing home renovations, finishing grad school AND planning a wedding was too much (also, so expensive!) So, when we were right about a year out from the original date, we decided to elope in a tiny ceremony with just a few friends. it was quick (about 6 minutes in total) and exactly what we wanted! the idea was to keep the date the same so that we could have all of our friends and family celebrate on our ONE year anniversary, but then we bought a house and the timeline shifted. We can’t wait to finally celebrate with everyone in a place so special to us.
We are going to try to coordinate a carpool signup, but there is also a train from PDX to the coast, and rental cars! As inconvenient as getting to the coast may be for some, we are so excited to have a beach wedding at our cozy venue, where we can spend the weekend together making memories.
If you opt to not stay on site at Sou'wester or it is fully booked (unlikely), we recommend the Commodore in Astoria!
Yes - we are still in the process of booking food and beverage, but when you RSVP, please notify us of anything we should keep in mind.
