In case you haven't heard, there's a global pandemic occurring at the moment. The Coronavirus has unfortunately forced us to change our wedding plans. Lord willing, we will be wed on June 7th, 2020 in Massachusetts with a small, socially-distanced audience of our closest family members as our witnesses. In the middle of the afternoon on a sweltering August day, Lauren Elizabeth Dean and Matthew Allen Shively's fateful paths began to cross. On the second floor of Montgomery Hall on the campus of the esteemed Oklahoma Baptist University, a philosophy professor, for some reason teaching an English class, informed his newest class of freshmen that their spouses could be sitting in this very room...
After three long months apart, the interested duo made their treks back to Bison Hill. After one peaceful week of classes, young Shively grew the courage to ask the beautiful Ms. Dean on a night of adventure. She agreed and he began to plan. They embarked on an evening of barbeque, mini-golf, and ice cream, and by the end were solidified as a pair.
This chapter of the story was meant take place two weeks prior, but thanks to a shipping snafu, it occurs the day after graduation. The night of graduation, a plot was hatched. The first step of the plan was for young Shively to stay up all night spelling out his love for the beautiful Ms. Dean in the form of handwritten letters. The next day, these letters, along with Matt's roommates, were placed at strategic, relationship-specific locations across campus. Escorted by her roommates, Ms. Dean traveled Bison Hill in the rain, stopping to listen of Mr. Shively's love. At the final stop stood the love-stricken Shively, armed with a $25 Walmart ring, prepared to make a lovely inquiry...
