How do we get to the wedding?

Answer

We will be providing free buses that will pick up from one of the hotels prior to the ceremony. A yellow school bus will pick up from Dauphine Orleans Hotel (415 Dauphine Street) and Maison St. Charles Hotel (1319 St. Charles) at 6:00pm on Saturday. You are welcome to ride even if you are not staying at the hotels. The buses will then depart the reception at 11pm and drop folks off in the French Quarter for those going to the after party, then continue on back to the hotels if you are heading in for the night. There is parking at the venue and always Uber or Lyft if that is easier for you.

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have reserved blocks of rooms at two hotels, one outside downtown and one in the french quarter, at a discounted rate, but feel free to shop around! There are also plenty of Airbnb options too.

What is a New Orleans style wedding?

Answer

Lots of fun. We will not have a sit-down style meal. Once the ceremony is over, the party starts! There will be food stations and passed food, help yourself when you get a break from dancing. We will start with first dances, cut the cake and then get right into it.

Is the ceremony and reception in the same place?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony will take place just outside the reception place so you just have to turn around and you are there! There is plenty of parking at the venue.
