For those guests arriving on the Thursday / Friday before the wedding we plan to hang out in the afternoon at Revelry Brewing Co. which is a quick Uber away from town and Bin152 wine bar right on King Street. Feel free to stop by as you are exploring the city. Stars Rooftop and Grill on King Street is also a great place to meet up and get a drink during the day. After dinner we plan to be at Blind Tiger which has a fun outdoor courtyard. On Friday and Saturday mornings some of us plan to stop by Harken Cafe in the early morning for coffee and have a sit down breakfast at Millers All Day depending on availability.
There will be plenty heavy apps and served from 6:00 to 8:00 during the open bar at welcome drinks but if hungry for some BBQ we highly recommend Louis BBQ and Home Team BBQ (Williams Street location) which is a quick Uber ride away from town and very close to Edmonds Oast where welcome drinks are. Also given the set up for the wedding day we have decided to do speeches at welcome drinks so be sure to stick around.
Summer cocktail attire. The event will be inside at a restaurant/ brewery. Dress shirts and pants for guys ideal.
Gates will open at 5:30PM so please target to arrive by 5:45PM ahead of ceremony starting promptly at 6:00PM. There will be a special pre ceremony cocktail offered as well as opportunity to get your photo taken (prints to be mailed afterwards).
Dress code is summer formal. Would like to remind guests to dress for the heat, lighter fabrics like linen suits and long dresses ideal.
The area around the William Aiken House where the wedding will take place is very lively in terms of night life. So we plan to target a series of bars all next to each other and adjust our plans as needed based on capacity. We have secured wrist bands for access to Share House a short walk from the venue which will allow you to skip the line. The Brick is also a good option for others to gather if you want a lower key vibe.
FIG is one of our favorite spots but reservations are very difficult to come by. They will accept a few parties when they open at 5 so try stopping by around 4:30 and see how the line is.
Our two favorite spots are Harken Cafe and Millers All Day. Both spots are very popular so if you happen to be up on the earlier side you will have a better chance of getting a table without a wait. Harken is a great spot for coffee as well as amazing scones and biscuits. Millers All Day is bigger and has a broader breakfast menu. Basic Kitchen is also good and has healthier options.
There will be a wide range of doors available, accommodating gluten free and diary allergies but please let us know if you have any other restrictions.
