Let's first set the stage. Kiley and Matt first met in college where they both lived at the infamous 619 Bowery House; the girls were upstairs, and the boys were downstairs. For the first year of being neighbors, they didn't really know a lot about each other. All the girls knew was that the boys downstairs really liked to party, always left room for them to park, and never made them take the trash cans out. All the boys knew was that the girls upstairs had to be pretty cool because they never complained about the loud parties. Little did the boys know that the girls in fact did complain about their partying, quite often. After the first year of extremely limited interactions, a friendship started to emerge. Through that friendship, Matt developed a crush on Kiley. While Kiley was off in her own world, trying to figure out what to do with life after graduation, Matt was busy scheming on ways to take the friendship a step further. This included Matt nursing Kiley's hangover after a rough night with Bloody Marys and new Kenny Cheseny songs, exchanging Kenny Chesney albums for Taylor Swift albums, and arranging a trip to Des Moines for a Kenny Chesney concert. After about six months, Matt finally decided he would make one last ditch effort. It's March 26th, 2015 and the boys downstairs are holding their annual Kenny Chesney birthday party. While the girls upstairs had never heard of such a thing, they decided to take Matt up on his invite. Maybe it was the feel-good, beach vibe that the Kenny songs brought on or maybe it was the Coronas and Blue Chair Bay, but something about that night made Kiley start looking at Matt differently. She didn't just see the loud party boy from downstairs. She started seeing the cute, kind and patient boy that might just change the course of her life. And so they say, the rest is history.
