We're so excited to (finally) celebrate our nuptials!

Hello friends and family! Thank you for visiting this site. We were originally getting hitched in October of 2020 but...COVID. And then Matt 'retired' so we went to the courthouse on 12/18/2020 and did the deed just for insurance purposes. Now, it's time to celebrate! We are having a real ceremony (albeit a much smaller one) for family and a few friends on 6/5/2021! HOW WE MET: Matt and Kerrie chatted for a few weeks on Match, but Kerrie wasn't sure she wanted to go out with Matt because she had no idea what he looked like. He only had pictures of Mollie (his dearly departed dog) and his Chevy Impala convertible on his profile! He was funny and sweet in his messages though, and the one picture of himself he did have on the website (only his backside as he took a big golf swing) sure looked cute, so she decided to give it a shot. They had their first date, brunch at Café do Brazil, on New Year's Eve 2017. It was a brutally freezing day, and Kerrie came charging into the restaurant, messy, windblown and tardy in her "marching boots." Actually, they were just motorcycle boots that Matt later liked to tease her about wearing when she went to women's marches at the OKC Capitol. It was 2017, after all. Matt thought she looked really cute. Kerrie was happy that he was handsome, tall and fit, and had a great head of silver hair. They shared ceviche and some good laughs, but then the date almost went off the rails when they talked about politics. (Three years later, they've finally learned to mostly skip those conversations). Luckily for them they decided to persevere. They had two more dates the following week. After that... it was love!
