November 10th, 2020 was a beautiful day. It was sunny, mild, and being outside was best to enjoy this perfect fall weather in Florida. However that was yesterday, and today is the 11th and Hurricane Eta is passing by Florida on its way up the state's Gulf side. It's storming, it's windy, it is wet. This is the day Matt tells me to get dressed for a special 'brunch' on the beach. It's our two year anniversary and as we arrive at Indian Rocks beach, the same one we visited during our first date, Matt tries to convince me of two things: That on this beach there is a restaurant open for brunch...on a Wednesday...during a hurricane...on the beach I know 1000% there is definitely not a restaurant. But most importantly Matt is trying to convince me to get out of the car, go into the cold rain, and walk on the beach. Matt wins me over like he did from the day I met him and as we venture onto the beach, the rain let's up. From there a few things happened: He dropped to a knee, I dropped my umbrella, and I cried so much I almost forgot to say YES.
